Started with this....
NOW PAINT THE VETTE IN GOLD FOR BASE!!

That is soooooooooooo cool. It looks like your working out doors, if you are that is Old School cool. A lot of show cars and really nice hot rods were painted that way back in the day. Great job. Can't wait to see it finished.

That looks great. Just goes to show you that you don't need a dust free spray booth (don't let EPA see you).

Just when I start to think I'm becoming a pretty good, weekend modder, someone comes along and paints their Vette in their garage.
Impressive. How far off is the Candy Apple red compared to Mag Red II? It looks pretty close.

Yes, I am painting outdoors. What I do to control the dust and it has worked for me many times is. I water down the driveway and walls.
I keep a fan in the background at medium speed to keep the mosquitos a way from the fresh paint.
No, the door is not a different shade of red. Depending on the angle you look at the car the kandy apple will light up, these pictures don't do any justice to the actual kandy paint..
