Is the door a different shade of red than the rear fender?

That is soooooooooooo cool. It looks like your working out doors, if you are that is Old School cool. A lot of show cars and really nice hot rods were painted that way back in the day. Great job. Can't wait to see it finished.

That looks great. Just goes to show you that you don't need a dust free spray booth (don't let EPA see you).

Just when I start to think I'm becoming a pretty good, weekend modder, someone comes along and paints their Vette in their garage.

Impressive. How far off is the Candy Apple red compared to Mag Red II? It looks pretty close.

I used to clean up and wet the floor down. I used to paint the race bikes in the shop that way. Not too bad. Floor looks dry in the OP's post though.

Thank you guys!!!
Yes, I am painting outdoors. What I do to control the dust and it has worked for me many times is. I water down the driveway and walls.
I keep a fan in the background at medium speed to keep the mosquitos a way from the fresh paint.
No, the door is not a different shade of red. Depending on the angle you look at the car the kandy apple will light up, these pictures don't do any justice to the actual kandy paint..
