Default Stolen C5 Corvette Sent to Watery Grave

A stolen C5 Corvette was found at the bottom of the Choke Canyon Reservoir in McMullen County Texas by the Texas Rangers dive team.

The Corvette was reported stolen in 2005 so its been down there a while now. Police said the thieves opened the windows and broke out the back window to make sure the car would sink. It was found about 30 yards off shore in about 20 feet of water.

Beat me to it. That's my first thought. Most car thieves use the car and park it. Rarely do they try to destroy or hide the entire car.

exactly what I was thinking. thieves seldom go to this trouble. Joy riders don't and others take them to a chop shop.
