digital c5 logo ??
I want to have a c5 logo embroidered in my new seat skins before i install them. I did a search for any type of c5 logo but found nothing on the forum. Any one have one? Or is it an issue of copy rights? Thanks..

Yep...you just need to have any logo you want digitized (should run you around $40 to $50) and then they can use that file to assign the thread colors. Make sure you ask for the file back in case you ever want it for any other reason (shirts, etc.)

The posted files should work but there is a copy right issue also. GM doesn't like people using their logo without paying a fee and its steep! At one time I looked into it and it was like 12% of sale price and a minimum commit of $5000 per year...I would be surprised if the embroidery shop would risk it....maybe they won't care. Good luck!

yup, against the rules....however, there is an embroidery vendor on the forum that is licensed to do the logo....he is on the Eastcoast...can't remember the name.

A local corvette specialty shop has a digitized file but wants $275 to do both seats. Kinda steep. I might need some more suggestions from you forum members about any embrodery shops willing to so it. Vette Essentials doesnt even do it anymore!

Many shops won't do a copyrighted logo. The reality is, that there's little chance of GM even finding out that they did it...since it's a one time deal, and they aren't actively marketing the service. A small, local shop may take the chance. I'd ask around.

I was just told that the logo cant be easily added after the cover is constructed because the embroidery machine cant get access where and how it needs to. Maybe the only way to do it is embroider on a seperate piece of leather then over lay it on the cover.
