Default Computer memory saver

I bought a Computer Memory Saver product to hopfully save electronic memories when a have to replace my battery.
Its the type that you plug into the cars 12 volt assessory outlet or lighter and snap a 9 volt battery on to the other end of the wire.
Has anyone used this device and does it work well?

I prefer to let the computer reset when I remove the battery. It clears a lot of stuff!

Where can you get these memory savers and how much do they cost?

I bought mine at a Meijer Store (like Wall Mart) - $6.99 including the 9 volt battery.

i've been using one of those for quite a long time and have had great success with it. used it on several different cars over the years and it hasn't failed me yet. the key is to make certain the 9 volt is fresh.

All you need to make one is a standard male 12v lighter plug and a female 9v plug both can be found a Radio Shack as well as many other vendors.

I have a battery maintainer that plugs into the cig lighter... I would assume it would serve the same purpose.

Any thoughts to the contrary?

Not trying to high jack....

Default Memory saver for 2000 and beyond cars

I read a notification on a 9 volt memory saver that says that 2000 and beyond cars needs 10.5 volts and the 9 volt lighter system does not work for those cars. I want to know if it really work for a 2003 vette. Thanks
