Ccw wheels rant!
My wheels are the SP500. I am very meticulous about my car and everything else I own. These wheels are really hard to maintain. I have had to hand polish them 4-5 times for the 3 years I have had them. Keep in mind the car stays in the garage. This last stretch was the longest I went w/out having to polish them, due to sealing them w/ Zoop Seal. Well I had the car at a shop to be worked on. It sat out in the weather for three weeks. The Zoop Seal did not hold up. I am now home trying to get these damn things back in shape. When they are back clean, THEY ARE GOING UP FOR SALE. TIRED OF THIS S***!

I have a set of 505As and they require the same level of maintenance but I knew this going in as I hope you did before ordering them (but, apparently not). Uncoated, polished aluminum wheels are fairly high maintenance but easy to fix if curbed or scratched. That's the trade-off.
Maybe consider having them clear-coated or chrome-plated to minimize the maintenance instead of selling such a gorgeous set of wheels.

My CCW 505's are Hard to Maintain. My car never sits outside, but I have to hand polish them every time I wash the Car. (Because they get wet!) It takes me 1 Hour to Wash and Dry my Car and 2.5 Hours to Polish the Wheels & Exhaust. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Lets not even talk about how long a full wax and Detail take.

Its not just CCW's.... Any bare Aluminum wheel requires upkeep. I assume you never knew that going in huh ?

I did a lot of research before the purchase. It was clear they would be a bear to maintain, but I thought people were exaggerating and maybe parked their cars outside. Not sure what I'll do. DAMNIT!

I have SP500's and true, they do need to be maintained and its a pain but I think its all worth it. I probably bought into to the sales hype but I met someone who swears by "Master Polish",
http://masterpolishformula.com/
So I went ahead and bought the polish and sealer (I paid $35). My wheels are due for a good polishing so I will report back my findings.

The cheap Bluemagic metal polishing cream i can get at p-boys,zone etc. seems to work and last the best, and i have tried many different products.....
Good luck

Adam's metal polish. Its a liquid and easy on and easy off. I put it on with a Mothers Power Cone. Very impressed with how my SP500's look after.

Has anyone used shark hide on their wheels?
I feel your pain. And mine is a daily driver so I have to polish them EVERY weekend. And that still barely keeps them looking nice. Once I drive it in th rain its all over.

I think the key is using a sealer like Zoopseal first. Then the recommended polishes based on need driving habits.
I friend of mine ordered new CCWs and applied Zoopseal before he even mounted them on his Vette. He swears by it.

Your best friend is a product called "Bling Master" It is sold here on the forum by a vendor. Put a little on the foam Mothers polishing wheel for a quick detail. It's great for removing water spots and takes very little effort to do. I just purchased a set of all aluminum rims again for my car so im stocking up!

I don't understand the rant. You bought polished alum. wheels,
just what were you expecting from alum. wheels to keep that
new polished look with NO work. I think that you are a newbie
that could only explain your frustration. Well some folks are
better off with painted wheels. I think you have learned alot
about alum wheels and all alum products.
CCW makes a top quality product . The consumer must educate
themselves before purchase.
