Default C5 Audio System Upgrade

Hello.

I am looking for a car stereo, speakers, amp, woofer to upgrade my car stereo system from bose speakers.

Do you have any recommendations for aftermarket car stereo, speakers, amp, and woofers?
I am thinking to install a JL audio stealthbox.

I appreciate any comments.
Thanks.
Sean

Hi Gitusum,

Thanks for your quick reply.
I am looking for a double din cd or dvd, radio, nav, iphone applicable, rear cam for around 1000.

I don't mind if they are 3 way speakers or 2 way as long as its better quality and better looks. Can you tell me why do you want 2 amps?
1 amp is not good enough for power? I want to set up my speakers at the front doors and rear exactly like the bose speakers if possible.

Regarding to the budget, it will be 2500 to 3000 total.
Thanks for your help.

you can pick up a kenwood 9960 nav unit for about $1000
2 way speakers are the usual way of going in the C5 and there are several really good components out like the following

focal
dls
hertz
dynaudio
morel

i run 2 amps 1 for the comps and 1 for the sub but if strong enough amp and the right amp you can run both the comps and the sub off of 1 amp. i use the arc mini amps because they are small and light which gives you more options on where to mount them and they are pretty clean amps

Thanks, Coolness. Do you have a JL stealthbox? If so is it better than component subwoofers?

Assuming you were to look around for pre-owned equipment and do the installation yourself, you can get about double the value of what you can buy retail.

I would suggest:
1) Head unit: INA-W900
2) 4-channel amp (mount on rear wall)
3) Center bin sub in the 250-300w range
4) 2-way component front channel speakers (high-mounted tweeters)
5) Big-3 charging system upgrade.
6) (optional, but suggested) Big pack of second-skin "damplifier pro" vibration deadening material.

We can set you up with many many different options depending on what you want to spend. From Entry level Pioneer to Some nice Focal for example

Save the money and forget this box. We can do you alot better and for alot less JL is very over rated in my eyes.
I can do my stealthbox with the same JL sub if you really wanted it and save you 100.00

I appreciate any comments.
Thanks.

your never going to get that sub in the c5 and set flush.

the max your looking at with a flush mount box is 7.25 inches of mounting depth
and a magnet width of no more than 6.25

you would need a custom box
