Stainless ARH Long Tube Headers and Road Salt
I recently had uncoated stainless ARH long tubes installed on my 03 Z06. Right now, the roads are awful and covered with salt and slush, so I was forced to drive home from the shop very slow and carefully. The car sits in the garage during the winter and never sees the roads. However, I'm wondering how much the road salt from the 10 mile drive home from the shop would effect the headers.
Reason I'm concerned is because I drove my old Formula with Jet Hot coated long tubes all season long. After the first winter, the bottoms of the headers were almost completely rusted from the road salt. I REALLY want to prevent this with the Vette. So I was thinking of getting under there and wiping down the headers to remove any salt or grime that collected during the ride home from the shop (which is a pain in the *** since I have a tiny garage, and the driveway is covered in ice). Or, am I being too paranoid?

A good stainless header will be fine. I would just find a self service car wash and spray down the suspension components because they are aluminum..
