Default Fixed Projector lights vs Flip Up

I am considering ordering a pair of the fixed projector headlights but am not sure how I will like them compared to the stock flip ups. I like the flip ups, but want more light output because I have tinted windows and its hard to see at night in low light areas.

Has anyone gone the fixed projector route and regretted it?

What have your experiences been?

theradioflyer's SLC V2 fixed projector headlights look amazing.

To me the flip ups are part of the character of the C5 I am looking at flip up projectors also. Want more light but will not give up my flip up feature.

What flip up projectors are you looking at? It seems to me a fixed projector dominated market.

I found them here on this forum. There called Light Cannon Projector Headlights. I don't know how to insert a link. Try search for Pop up Projector headlights or search for Light Cannon's.

ACAs for me. However, watching JWM's development of his sleepy eyed "Sun Guns".

I also offer the Light Cannon pop up lights that now has a Bi-xenon option:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-z...on-option.html

They use the same 55w HID light source as the SLC V2 kit, are significantly less expensive, and an even easier install (taking less than 1 hour if you're on your "A" game )

I spent top dollar on some fixed headlights, because I told myself I wanted to get rid of the pop-ups...well, after a week, I regreted it. Make sure that is what you want before you spend that money.

Flip up lights were one of the reasons that I bought a C5 and not a C6. The last generation to have them. For me, it defines a true Corvette as I remember them throughout my youth.

These are the only lights that I will consider replacing my ACAs with. I am really looking forward to the finished shroud. Especially if he offers a carbon fiber option.

I would do radioflyers new stuff if you have teh cash. All other fixed lights give it the "frog eyed look" and I think it doesn't flow at all. I have the ACA with 6k HID think I payed about $250-260 total shipped.
