L5 / TPE experts please help (PICS)
I know that this has been beaten to death but different offsets makes different circumstances… I have a set of L5 fenders in route as we speak that will give me an additional 2” of clearance as we all know. I am going to put a set of wheel adapters on but have a question as to what size and would like to get input.
Wheels = iForged TE7’s with 51mm offset (19x11)
Tires = Nitto Invo (325/30/19)
I have the wheels on the car now so that I can get back and forth to work. They do stick out 7/8” on one side and 6/8” (I know this is really ¾” but wanted to keep the denominator the same to make it easier to note the difference) on the other side, which I knew they would but no inside rubbing (I checked multiple times). I used a straight edge (a 2x4) flush with the tire and then measured the gap between the stock fender and the tire. NOTE: this is to the OUTSIDE of the fender. BTW as you will see in the picture, I am lowered on stock bolts.
1” adapter = 1-7/8” push (is this too flush where wheel travel may hit the fender?)
¾” spacer = 1-5/8” push (is this enough of a clearance for wheel travel?)
½” spacer = 1-3/8” push (is this too much gap now?)
Any advice would be great. Thanks forum family.

try all 3 sizes to dial it in right where you need it.
i went thru 3 spacer sizes before settling on the perfect setup for my wheels.

I kinda figured that this is what I am going to have to do. From what I hear, changing to longer bolts is quite a PITA. I will soon find out...

I just did the L5 and new wheels and tires , you may want to wait for the fenders to get added, I question whether it is a full 2 in difference. Then you may feel good enough to not need a spacer. I have a friend that did adapters and after getting the fenders the adapter guy was able to help him know what size adapter to the tenth he would need to stay flush but not stick out.
