99 Coupe that has been and still is "HEAVEN"
Bought my '99 Coupe last October, 108,000 miles on it.
Did the Suspension 'kit' from GMPARTSHOUSE.... Shocks and Stabilizers package. BEST MOVE I've made.
First drive Scared the CRAP outta me, as EVERY warning light on the dash lit up.
(That's how I found you guys... Googled "Corvette"), came here.
Read the 'stickie' in the C5 forum and had the 'Grounds' fixed in a heart-beat. Been driving the HELL outta her since with 'seldom' a ding.
Oil Pressure Sensor first month on the road. Easy one, thanks forum again.
Radio wiring (someone before me was a 'HACK') fixed that easy.
Horn Button (air bag) just got the part recently.
Shifter Cable (my fault, I broke it) DUH...
Above while fixing the shift indicator lights.
15,000 miles on her this past season.... Stored for Winter currently.

Ahh you said that about all your cars. I checked the Lexus, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes and numerous GM forums and you say the same things on all your posts.
Which one are we to believe on EBCM?
That pass side door lock module went bad on mine too but that was my wife's M-B (now FS but not for that reason). The only ever issue.

Whenever you encounter someone who says their M-B is reliable, ask them if they've ever heard the term "green wire". If they say yes then don't believe them. OBD

lets see I bought my 2003 Z06 with 26k on the clock...bone stock other then a ****** K&N intake and my amazing ghost flame's....I got the common EBCM failure which I was sorta expecting easy fix....the car its self has been pretty easy to maintain...very little has gone wrong with it..and what has gone wrong has been my fault and not the cars design or mechanics aspect

In late 1990 or early '91 the German gov't. started leaning on auto manufacturers to make all parts of their products more recyclable or "environmental friendly". Mercedes made all of their wiring suppliers deliver wire with insulation that would melt at much lower temperatures than copper, with some as low as 250 degrees F. Any guess what the engine compartment temperature is in a black, S-class V-8, in the Southern half of the U.S, in August? If you owned and early 90's M-B you know that wiring with melting insulation was a sure way to keep the "Check Engine" light activated.

Took delivery of my car Jan. 5 1998, with 3 miles. Has 43000 miles now and one of the best cars I have owned. Other then basic maintenance the only money I put into it is what I have added in mods.

2001 with 160,000 miles on it driven hard
1. Leaking differential seal (never fixed it, just topped it up before going to the track, later replaced it with an upgraded differential)
2. Oil pressure sensor gauge ( easy cheap fix)
3. Most recently my EBCM seems to be acting up, but it may just be the grounds, if not then $150 to get it fixed.
These are the only issues I've had in just about 10 years of ownership and 160,000 hard miles.

I have a 2003 Z06 with 70597 miles. I started having intermittent stalling problems. The car would start, then stall. I finally had the car towed to Reliable Chevrolet in Albuquerque. The ultimate problem: "Vehicle will start and stall. Checked for no start, scanned for codes, none. Checked fuel and ignition systems, low fuel pressure from fuel pump, checked operation of fuel pump relay, relay would not turn on at times. Checked circuits and connectors, repaired ground circuit #150 and started vehicle."

Bought my 03 this past July, 36,000 miles. No problems yet (knock on wood). Only thing I have noticed is that the clear top makes a lot more noise (rattles and squeaks) than the painted top does. Not a huge problem though.

49k and still no complaints. I did replace the rear TPS sensors when I replace the rear tires but just because they were 13 years old. My wife has mentioned that the passengers seat rocks, but I don't sit there so it may be a while before I fix it. OBD

Common C5 Issues. What are/were yours?
Just bought my 04 convertible with 41,000 miles. Had to replace rear differential seal. Other than that, car runs and drives great.

The harmonic damper wobbles, the shocks were $*!! , the speakers were marginal at best, the shifter was not cooperative and notchy, the clutch fluid was primordial soup, the radiator was completely blocked off with little tiny bricks someone had laid between every fin, the run flats were so loud and rough we took them off and donated them to the US Army to put on some tank.... I could keep going but, most it's already been said before....alas, all that being said... we love her and look forward to many smiles and miles

Knock sensor and C1214 on the EBCM. I replaced both knock sensors and the pigtail connecting them and I sent the EBCM to absfixer. The rest has been normal wear stuff tires/brakes/battery/plugs/wires....

Bought mine at 56K in March of 2014 for daily driver. Sets at 86K now.
Swapped out the valve springs for insurance as soon as I got home with it.
Also did diff, tranny fluid, spark plugs and wires when it got home.
Went with Brakemotive pads a rotors due to brake squeaking
Replaced the damn Passenger side check valve.
HUD bezel cracked just this week.
Car has some sort of water leak on Pass side, but only during rain.
Other than those 20k+ miles and car is still solid.

2004 Commemorative 'vert bought new now 102,000 mi
EBCM one replaced under warranty one on me. (both failed after putting on a battery charger. Disconnect battery now if I need to charge)
Steering wheel speed sensor - Have to turn off active handling to keep it from randomly doing fonky stuff.
HVAC display dark
Glove box latch broke (repaired with Locktite Epoxy Putty)
Hud dark. Don't know whats wrong with it, but don't use it anyway
Automatic shift cable came loose. Broke cable trying to fix. Had to replace cable. What a PITA!
A/C drain overflow on to driver floor. Finding and unclogging drain tetes another PITA
Right door control module - replaced under warranty
Front turn signal/DRL fixtures melted. Not expensive by a real PITA to replace.
Rear wheel bearings are howling. Have parts and tools to replace. Just got to get psyced up to do it.
Fuel system leak - Fixed under recall - A vin range had defective fuel tank connections.
Car runs and drives great. I love it!

1998-owned 14 months, bought at 24,400 miles.
Oil Pressure Sending Unit failed
Rocking drivers seat
Dark HVAC display
All fixed last year.
Other than that just preventative maintenance due to time rather than miles. I just installed new spark plugs and wires (GM Performance Red Wires), new belts and hoses, and rear differential fluid change last week.

2000 purchased at 67,000 last August, now has 72,000 miles. Immediately after purchasing the car I had the balancer replaced for $600, I changed the hazard switch for $20, and did the driver's side headlight motor gear for $50. Since then I've replaced a cracked master cylinder reservoir for $80 (had to buy the whole master cylinder) and that's pretty much it.
I do have a very slow leak on my driver's side axle seal, but I'm in no hurry to replace it. The car also needs all the sway bar links replaced, but I consider them a normal maintenance item. Other maintenance things I've done include changing the brake pads, belts, and brake/clutch fluid. My driver's seat is also starting to rock and I'll be fixing that sometime this year. It's been a helluva reliable car.

Have to add, had to rebuild the transmission at 87K due to the 2nd gear syncro going out (Seems common), also the bracket that holds the gas connecting tube is broken and will need replacing.

99 vert, 6m, 30k miles, cat back, cai, computer dyno tune. Earlier owner seems to have maintained car well and used gently. No major problems and trouble free enjoyment. Did have some codes show up but they turned out to have been kicked off by a dying low voltage battery. Those disappeared immediately with the install of a new battery. Replaced missing door plugs. Thats it, been a great car so far! Best wishes to all!
