Default Forgstar f14, or TSW Nurburgring for flared?

Does anyone have any clue if either of these wheels come in a high REAR offset to fill in TPE or L5 fender flares without having to run a wheel adapter/spacer???

Thanks.

I sent a pm to D2-AUTOSPORT yesterday asking the same question in regards to the F14's. No response yet.

What size did you inquire about, 18/19 or 19/20? Can you post up your findings and price they quote you?

Thanks

I'll let you know what I find out. I'm looking at a 18/19 combo, interestingly the Forgestar website lists a 19x12 rim but that size isn't listed on any threads on the forum. 18/19 is my preferance but I might consider a 19/20 after reading some threads on here.

There have got to be others who are running flares who have asked this very same question

I got word back that the 19x12's would be perfect for flared fenders. I just replied asking for a quote. Are you looking at an 18/19 combo also?

Did the vendor verify that they will fill out the flare without requiring a spacer? Will he be held liable if they don't? Yup, 18/19 Let me know what they quote you.

i've done tons of research on this very subject.

i run L5 rear quarters and have been *this* close to ordering a set of f14s, but sometimes life gets in the way so they will be put on hold for a while.

This is what i came up with for a perfect fit for my future setup:

fronts = 19x9 +55mm w/245/35/19 random-brand tires
rears = 20x12 +42mm w/335/25/20 michelin ZR1 runflat tires

i'm going with the narrower 19x9 for the front because the 19x10 does not have a high enough positive offset to tuck into the front fenders.

the 20x12 +42mm is 1.125mm further out than the setup i run now (19x12 +59mm with 5/8" spacer) so that's pretty much perfect for me. they are also available 20x12 +45mm but that would be 1.875mm further in from where i sit now.

you can also use a 345/25/20 rear tire but i've read that the zr1 tires are so good that i want to try them.

it appears that the 19x12 sizes are very new because they were not available last time i researched them. you should be able to get the exact same offsets that i mention in the 20" sizes above. you can also get an 18x9.5 +60mm for the front and use a 275/35/18 front tire.

good luck with your decision. i think that the tsw wheels look good but i'm really drawn to the concave design of the f14.

try www.raderwerks.com - not the exact style you were looking for but their 3 piece wheels can be custom made to any specs - their BBS LM reps are ridiculously nice

also www.rotiform.com does the same type of thin

JD this is great stuff! If anything I would be looking to do the 19" rear instead of 20". Did you speak with forgstar on this or did you come up with your own calculations? BTW, I've admired your car when I first came on the forum...I still remember it before it had the TS rear bumper, and I was thinking, MAN do I want my car to look like that! Very clean, simple, and beautiful!

The reason why I was looking at forgstar (sister company of iforged) and TSW is because they are relatively inexpensive, light weight, and really a good looking wheel for the price! Going the other route with custom offsets and 3 piece's adds another couple of G's to the price tag. Current prices for the size I want by forgstar and TSW are between $1000 and $1300 I believe...hard to beat that!!!

Maybe we can get a group buy, i'd be interested in a set of 18x9.5+50 and 19x12 +59. I think the +59 offset would work on a non flared rear c5, also this way we can get more guy's interested so that the group buy would work.

Not ready to make the purchase just yet, just want the info for when the flares arrive I'll know what decision to make. Regardless, this thread is invaluable for those who may want to choose this avenue.

UNDACOVA, JDM, keep us informed.

Cheers mates

Are you saying the 18x9.5 +60mm using the tire size you listed would would stick out a little? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on these and I'm just trying to nail down the offsets before I order. The website lists these at $1550 shipped & it will take about six weeks to deliver.

Thanks for your input & I too love your set up

I have 19 x 9.5 with a 265 nitto on front and tucks perfect , the rear is a 20 x 12.5 with a 345 and it sticks about 1/8 out on the 12.5 , you should be nicely tucked with the 12 and what I should have done
