Best place to stay in Bowling Green
I'm taking a road trip to the Gm plant and the Corvette Museum, any thoughts, pro's and con's, on places to spend the night, eat, etc?

Safety Car
We stayed at:
Country Inn Suites
3234 Scottsville Rd
Bowling Green, KY 42104
(270) 781-7200
Clean (looked like fairly new construction), reasonable rates, plenty of nice parking (mostly vettes when we were there) and they leave a hose and towels out if you want to wash your car.
edit : ya, didnt mention, breakfast included also (full not just a muffin).

Bryce Inn
Whenever we go to BG we stay at the Bryce Inn. It's only 10 miles up the road (exit 38) as the owners, Bob & Jackie are Corvette people. We were there in October and the rate was $56/nite. I'd much rather support a fellow Corvetter and they are the owners, not some chain. Give 'em a call 270-563-5141. AND fresh baked cookies!!!

If you want to stay a bit North of the museum a few miles I can highly recommend The Victorian House B&B...good private parking behind the house and they will even let you wash your Vette if you need to.
It costs no more than many hotels and the breakfast rocks.

Last year during the C5/C6 Birthday Bash I stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Inn. Nothing special except free breakfast and I'm a Marriott Rewards member. You can walk to Ryan's Buffet since they are located next door.

WHEN WE WERE THERE SEVERAL YEARS AGO WE STAYED AT A B&B THAT WAS RUN BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CORVETTE MUSEUM, WENDELL STRODE. 1869 HOMESTEAD IS THE NAME, THEY HAVE A HUGE GARAGE YOU CAN PARK IN.
