I fixed my door module today
After a lot of procrastinating, I ordered the relays and decided to give it a try.
Went and bought a desoldering gun at radio shack, took the door apart, with the help of vette essentials instructions.
Took module out and removed the circuit board that holds the relays.
My door would not lock or unlock w/ fob or on my drivers side switch.
Cleaned off the silicone around the pins to be de-soldered and then used the desoldering gun to remove the solder, placed new relays in position and soldered those in.
Applied some clear silicone on the ares that I had removed it, plugged it in door harness and it is working!......I just gotta say this wasn't as hard, as I thought it was.
I've never soldered any thing in my life, so thanks to all forum members for keeping this info fresh I was able to tackle this project, here are some links that helped me and some pictures of the project....Now to fix ECBM next!

Strong work. I wasn't bold enough to fix mine, myself, but sent the passenger module off to Dave Ruberg in Minnesota to be fixed. Cost about $80 after shipping. He fixed my dim climate control display, too, for about $60. Heck of a lot better than new parts and paying the dealer to replace them. I may be sending the driver module in soon since the lock button on that side doesn't work all the time....

Nice job, but I thought silcone was bad for electrical connections??

I think it's epoxy and not silicone. We use to epoxy all of our boards, it seals them up from any moisture. Besides, it's being applied after all of the solder joints have been made.

I hope that the silicone will be ok, the thread I read...metioned removeing the silcone and de-solder the relay so I put a coating back on it when I finished my soldering...Also used silcone (after soldering) for my EBCM relay fix and so so good
