i was leaving the house this morning. when i reveresed out of my driveway, and put it in first, as i started to released the clutch, i heard a Pop or clanking type of sound. sounded like i came from right underneath me..

then when i shifter to 2nd, i depressed the pedal, small sound again, then shifted , released clutch, small sound again.

it does this all the way through 3rd, 4th and up i dont hear anything..
ive tried it shifting from 2k rpms all the way up to 5. same result

only thing ive done lately is 2010 c6 shifter&****
and new drilled slotted rotors and ceramic pads.

Could this be the "marbles in a can" sound? If so, every 6 speed C5 does this.

are you speaking of the rattling sound from when i take off in first? no this is not it. yes i have this sadly.. like everyone else, but that sound seems to be loud and then slowly goes away as you start driving.

This is more or a single, "THUD" sound. like when i press in and realse the clutch its like someone smacks the bottom of the car

Yes, the rattling sound when you take off in first is the "marbles in a can" sound I was referring to. Not quite sure what your thud could be?
