Quaker State Oil is running a promo. If you log 300,000 miles, i assume you have to document Quaker State as your oil of record, they give you the kelly blue book value of your car.
Whats a vette with 300,000 miles on it worth ?
Maybe Mobil 1 will jump in an make the same offer.

I sure wouldn't think that it would be worth very much.

yeah, the offer sounds great but the car would be worthless.
you get a check for .16 after you pay for oil changes every 3,000 miles.
100 oil changes at $99 each, sounds like a losing deal if your hope is to hit the 300,000 mile mark.

Some good friends recently sold their 1995 Suburban with 315,000 miles for $1000.00. They were the original owners.
A C5 with 300K?? Let's be generous -- worth twice as much as the Suburban = $2,000.

whatever you can get, my 83 supra has 385,000 on it and I wouldn't sell it ... going for 500k. Z has 55k and going for whatever I can put on it i the next 20 years.

I checked out your link with your 98 and I have to congratulate you on maintaining that Vette. At 228K your Vette looks a lot better then ones I've seen with just 50-75K. Even the engine looked new, nice job bro and congrats on the sale, no doubt whoever bought it will enjoy it for some time!

I agree with you. My '99 with over 300K miles on it now, I can get in it and head across the country right now. In fact, I am going across the country next week but alas, won't be taking the '99 this trip. Going to see my family and my mother can't get in and out of either of my Corvettes, so taking a different car.

Corvettes seem to get better care and are far more desirable than the Suburban. My guess is that someone would pay $6K-$7K and make it into a race car.
For $2K, I would buy it even if it needed some help.
I had a rust free 361K mile 97 Dodge Ram that I could have sold for about $1700. $2,000 will barely buy you a basket case piece of junk C4, much less a running C5.

Well my golf buddy got over $4,000 for his 97 GMC Sonoma with just under 600,000 (597,xxx) miles on on opened original drive train. It WAS with the cash for clunkers program though!! He did have all the regular service done on all the components done one a regular basis. It was still running fine when the program killed it!!! There are members here that have well over 300K on their C5's!!

I think mine is valued at between $8-9K due to the extreme mileage. Not an issue for me of course but no one in their right mind would buy a car with this mileage. I suppose there is the exception that some who knew just how good I was at maintaining it and so on...but frankly, things wear out that people don't usually have happen. For example, this moment, I need a new upper steering wheel bearing. The one in the upper steering column. They normally don't wear out on anyone till you get to these higher miles. Still a great and fun car, but things do wear out or like I usually tell people, nothing lasts forever.
