Default Continental DW tires

Finally replaced the Goodyear runflats with these tires. The DWS tires weren't available. I got them from a Tire Discount store here in Rochester (very good service).

As many have posted in the past, the new non-runflat tires are a very noticeable improvement over the old runflats. How much of that is old vs new as opposed to runflat vs non-runflat, I don't really know.

What I do know, after a couple of 200 miles plus days, is that my C5 is now a comfortable car to drive. Noise and harshness over tar strips have been reduced to the levels of our Explorer.

Haven't had the opportunity to drive in rain, but I'm very pleased with these tires to date.

I have the DWs on my Mazda and they are INCREDIBLE tires. I think you made an excellent choice.

Any non runflat is a huge improvement in ride quality on the C5. Get yourself a patch kit and compressor to keep in the trunk for an emergency. I had to use mine once.

I have the DWS on my LS430 and find them to be susceptible to cross winds. But they are all season, so a compromise has to come somewhere.

I recenlty put these tires on also. I have done 2 track days with them so far, and I am very impressed with their durability! They're not as crisp on turn in as the Falken RT-615s I replaced, but they are very predictable. They are also the smoothest and quietest tire I have had on my C5 so far. I will buy them again!

I bought those on my way home from the tire store. The pump fits nicely in the biggest covered compartment (along with jumper cables) and the plug kit goes in one of the other covered compartments. Hopefully, having them will mean I never need them.

The last time I had to change a tire on the side of the road was about 1977-------and that was with a Pirelli tire that blew out.
