Default A/C Question

When ever I push the a/c button to turn the a/c on the button light flashes a few times but the a/c will not start whats up with that ,is my compressor failing ...?

usually a sign that the freon level is low and there isn't enough (or proper) pressure in the system.

Same thing happened to me. Recharged the system with freon and all is well.

The pump will shut off when the pressure is above/below a certain amount due to a leak/overcharge condition.
