Default [PICS] APSIS C5 Carbon Fiber Splitter Installed

At Carlisle I made the mistake of visiting the Aspis tent and seeing their new C5 carbon fiber front splitter and side skirts. Talk about an expensive impulse buy! After borrowing it and holding it up to my car in the ECS tent, it was all over. The ECS guys were NO help either saying that I "had to buy it now" after seeing it mocked up. I was able to take the splitter home from Carlisle, the side skirts are currently in production and will be here in 3-4 weeks according to Jersey.

Please PM Jersey at Apsis for pricing as I am not sure if he is still offering his Carlisle special pricing on these items.

I had the splitter installed today by the great guys at Corvette Center in Newington, CT. They did phenomenal work with my hood install and paint so I knew they could make it look right and install it properly so it won't become a speedbump at 170mph. The install took about 1.5hrs total, they used a combination of screws, fasteners and urethane to make sure it'll stay put! They were very impressed with the fitment and quality of the carbon fiber weave. This is a ZR1 quality piece in ever way. The edges are even sanded nice and smooth. The design is also what I have been hoping somebody would make for past 10 years, takes the ZR1 look, but tailored perfectly to the C5 front fascia and cooling requirements. You definitely get what you pay for.

Onto the pics!!!

Thank you Apsis and Corvette Center, cannot wait to get the side skirts installed next!!!

I like the looks of that splitter a lot however it wouldn't last a day on my car. I'd knock it off on the first parking curb.

That looks awesome. I too would be afraid of damaging it on the roads around here.

Dig the splitter. Went to apsis's web site to purchase and couldn't find it. Is it a special order thing or what?

Thanks, it's a brand new product, I'm the first one to install on a C5, so it's probably not updated on their site yet. You'll probably have to call or PM them to order.

Thank you. The hood is from ACP, it's their louvered air extractor hood. Their website is www.corvetteracebodies.com

Thank you to everybody else for the compliments.

It looks great but how much was it? APsis is a pretty penny. Worth it for some!

It looks great ! watch for curbs and speed bumps.
Is it just my eyes or is there a fit and finish, a gap issue with the hood right in the center above the corvette logo ?
Looks too gapped or raised or something. It's hard to tell exactly on a black car.

Good God!! Your car is sweet! I would have to leave my car in the garage with that splitter on or it would be at the end of my driveway in bad shape

Ditto...how much?

Is it just the picture angle or are your front wheels a larger diameter than the rears?

Apsis was offering special pricing for Carlisle, but I'm not sure what the normal cost is, please PM Apsis and he will provide you with the current pricing.

The wheels are 18" all around. The fact that the rear CCWs get a lip and front do not gives that illusion sometimes.
