I installed two washers today, I guess my order was only for two washers and not 10. As many others have attested this made my shifter sillky smooth to shift into gear while remaining firm. Thanks for the suggestion, made a night and day difference with my mgw short shifter.

Did the same mod (only 1 washer) after having the MGW shifter about a year...definitely helped!

any one with a hurst shifter do this?

I just installed a RPM level 5 m12 and getting it into gear is a little firm for my liking (not side to side) shifting from 1 to 2 and so on

Any short shifter will benefit from the Anti Venom mod.
Its easy and cheap to do, and easily reversible.

I installed and saw no difference so I removed and put back stock, go figure, I was hoping to get a smoother transition between gears, not.

Likely why you did not notice a difference.
Short shifters by nature will be a little more stiff to shift.
The Anti Venom mod will loosen them up a bit and make them feel like stock again.
They are just shorter and better shifting...

Didn't read the whole thread, but how well would this work with a C6 Shifter?

Hopefully someone with a shorter C6 shifter will chime in, but I bet it would help.

I did this last week. I did it after installing a stock C6 shifter and now it's just awesome all around. Looks and feels great.

I added one washer with a shortened C6 Z06 shifter, and had a noticable improvement. After installing a B&M, it felt too firm again, so I installed a second washer and love it...

Yeah I bought the 2 pack of washers but only put on one. I might try the second one the next time I already have my car lifted up for other work. Like you said, I've heard some say they used two washers and love it.

Minor point and question: 3/4" is not 20mm, it is 19mm, so M20 3/4" is not strictly accurate. Anyone measured the inside diameter of the recommended washers? Or know what the actual thread is? Thanks.

cant be leave I waited so long to get this done, my hurst short shifter was kind of a pain when putting around in traffic (when aggressive it rocks) installed one wash and its so much better i'd say i lost 40+ % of the notchy firm shifting feeling it still has some I might try one more just to see but i'm thinking it feel to loose

total time spent 20 minutes (15 was getting my tools out and packing them when i was done)
