Default so i have 306 cast number heades!?!?!?!

whats the diff between them an the 241s??? but im soon to b putting 243 heads on soon...

I think the main difference between 806 and 241 heads is the 806 are perimeter bolt valve covers and the 241 are center bolts. If you are going 243 and currently have 806 heads, you will need new valve covers.

Also you may want to switch to the newer LS6 PCV setup while you're in there.

well jus cuz i dont kno what pcv is dont mean i cant do work to my car myself.... ive done plenty work to my car... i think me running 11s says alot...

The PCV upgrade he is referring to consists of the LS6 valley cover. You'll have the modify the block Pre 00 I believe in order to use it. Please correct me if I am wrong with the years. 97-99 has a different PCV System.


In the pic you will see that the top right valley cover is that of an LS6 (red cap) and the one on the top left is that of an LS1 97-00

I don't think so, but it's a more efficient PCV system versus the stock LS1 setup. I know there is thread that goes into details with pics on the conversion, but cannot find it. Still doing a search.

BTW:

PCV= Positive Crankcase Ventilation
