Default front dent

I hit the front and caused a concave arch in the front bumper. Is it possible to heat up the area and then form it back into position with like holding c-clamps or something.

It is possible with a heat gun BUT, there will still most likely be some sanding and painting.
The front fascia comes off easily to work on.

I had that happen to me on the back and just the hot sun popped it out on it's own, but the paint had chipped a little. A trailer hitch from a truck !

Don't use clamps, pressure on it or anything else just yet as you could easily damage it further.

A photo would also be good.

be very careful if you use a heat gun you could cause more damage. I would say if you live somewhere warm take the bumper off and lay it in the sun for the afternoon then give it a little pressure, not too much just a little and it often will pop out. If not try a hair dryer it wont get as hot as the heat gun and wont damage it further. Unless you have experience in this I wouldnt use a heat gun unless it was the last resort.

Default Dent on plastic ?

But are you sure you want to put a part that so easily to "dent" or would be happier with a repainted a new front fascia ? I'm only asking do to the fact your going to have some serious sanding as it is?

Of course you could let it sit in the sun and see if it won't come out on it's own as mentioned above !

Heat guns are great for a lot of jobs, But if you a novice, your not going to know How Hot is till your past the point ? Since I have a heat gun, but used it only once in while, I wouldn't want to give a try by myself. But whatever, Good luck !

If it were me I would remove the bumper and take it to a professional and ask them how much it would cost to fix it. I can't imagine it would take a good body shop with Corvette experience very long to fix it. Then if it needed repainting they could do that too.

Normal bumper repair at a shop usually runs 500+ with paint ... Might as well try it yourself first
