To Wave or Not to Wave
Had to go out a little earlier and on the way I saw a C4 coming at me. We both waved at the same time. I then pulled up to a light in the left turn lane. Waiting for the light to change, I was second in line, when around the corner came a black C5, not sure if he saw me or was just being stupid or trying to show off for anyone that may have been looking, but he nails it about half way through the turn and has it out of shape, recovers about the time he is passing me. I did not give him a wave only shook my head.

Your non-wave was probably the least of his worries at the time.

You did the right thing. A wave to him would have either encouraged him to take a hand off the wheel OR made him think you approved of his inappropriate maneuver.

Sounds like he had his hands full.

Burning Brakes
I cannot understand how people can't control these cars. Maybe it's some freakish transfer of skill from my time on iRacing or somthing (I've never done any driving schools or anything else that could explain it), but I cannot figure out how people get bushwacked by such a predictable car. Maybe they're riding on cheap tires?
The acceleration in the middle RPM's of 2nd and 3rd is explosive. Explosive acceleration before or in the middle of the apex of a turn do not go together. I have a non-Z51, and I've driven it for 50 miles at a stretch through the mountains, in the rain, with the traction control off, throwing it into turns way above the yellow sign speed ratings. It's a bit skittery, but if you pay attention to the grip limits you'll be fine. Every time the back comes out, it comes out the same distance, at the same speed. You just need to be familiar with any uneven road surfaces (I drive that road to work every single day), and you'll have it on lock.
In summary, tools don't get the wave. Sadly, I'm often the first to offer it, and was once belittled by a guy in a C6Z who rolled his eyes at my humble C5 and continued on.

Being that stupid, the C5 guy didn't warrant a wave IMO.

I am a DH, I don't wave at anyone. I can't stand the bike riders that have to wave at every bike they pass like they are in some secret club, it's gay! Now I will give someone a thumbs up if the are driving something bad to the bone!
