Default Mobil 1 on blowout at Meijer stores...

Just picked up all the remaining 4 quart gallon jugs at the Howell, MI store. They are not marked, but if you scan the jugs they will ring up 12.99 for the regular Mobil 1, and 14.99 for the extended life. Not sure if Meijers is nationwide, but they have stores all over the midwest. These jugs are being phased out for the 5.1 quarts jug that is now the norm. My average cost per quart comes to 3.25 on the standard product, and 3.75 on the extended life product. I now own enough Mobil 1 oil to last me a lifetime and enough to pass on to my sons. Happy hunting to all, and to all a good year!

Sounds like a good deal,,but must be a Northern chain. Never heard of them here in South-western Illinois!

glad to hear it...go now and clean out the shelves!!

forum members without Meijer stores...this deal may not be limited to Meijers. It's the 4 gallon jug that is being phased out, so perhaps you have other stores in the same boat...clearing their shelves for the new 5.1 jugs....that's essentially what is happening here. Go take a look at your local stores.

who knows? oil is oil....I can't see the molecules breaking down in a sealed container....your car will never know the difference...remember, this is synthetic oil, much more stable than mother earth hydrocarbons out of the cracking distillation process of a barrel of crude.

Small chain store started in Saginaw Mi. most of the stores are in Mi. and Ohio.
They do sell online but since it's oil I bet the shipping would kill the deal.

I went to 3 different Meijers here and they were not on sale.

I think maybe someone screwed up at your store.

Just picked up a 2 pack of the 5.1 qt jugs at Costco for $36. That's about 9$ less than the 6/1qt case which was priced at 45$ and change.
