Default Toyo ra1 vs r888

Hello,

I am comparing RA1 VS R888 for performance, handling and treadware. Any opinions from people that have experience with them is appreciated.

Thank you,

Mark G.

you should post in the autocross/track section with your question

in Spec Miata (SCCA and NASA) the RA1 was the spec tire for a number of years

Toyo announced the R888 and a date by which the RA1 would be discontinued and made both available for "a while"

after the R888 was available for a year or so, the vast majority of Spec Miata racers pitched a fit and Toyo made the RA1 available for many more years

the RA1 is the NASA spec tire for the next three years, not the R888

in the smaller sizes, no one I know uses the R888 -- cannot speak to larger sizes

I really prefer the RA1 over the R888 and the Hoosier R6
