04 CE Z06/Z16 Stripes ?
Getting ready to repaint the z and it's a toss up, I like with and without stripes. I know some may say you can add the stripes later on and remove them if you change your mind again. Also thinking of painting them on.
Pick a number :
1. No Stripes
2. OEM Stripes
3. Painted Stripes

I like the OEM style best. Lots of styles and colors to choose from. Check out www.vettestripes.com.

Stripes for sure, that's the Z16 signature!
You may have trouble finding a complete oem set though. Last year a Z16 owner rebuilt/repainted his car, and went through 4 sets of stripes cause the edges were curling up as they are OS, they are not being made anymore, and are drying out. So we might all be in the same boat soon!
On the other hand, having them painted on would make it much easier when buffing the car.

If you cant find an OE set of stripes, have them painted on. As someone else said, the stripes on that car are what make that car so great! Mine has the oe decals, love em, but if i cant find a replacement set when i need them, they will be painted on!

The stripes makes the Z16!! It sucks that they are so hard to find in good condition.

on the repaint! The stripes make this model Z unique with the color. Perhaps add some texture into the paint stripes. I've seen that done as well and it looks really great! Just stick with the OEM colors!

Gene (or Patrick) of GMPARTSHOUSE said not long ago that they had a couple of sources for oem Z16 stripe sets yet. But once those are gone, that's it from GM. They're not inexpensive...probably about the same price as airbrushing them on. That's what I'd do with my car should it ever be necessary.
