that is correct, you will only see this if the console cover is open and it will look just like stock

Added to next month's car budget. This would help keep my iPod a lot cooler than it currently is even after only a few minutes; my USB connection comes out inside the console.

I placed my order today because I really need one of these to help cool my iPod down and prevent the error messages the heat is causing, but WOW are you guys sure proud of the boxes you ship them in at nearly 10 bucks for shipping. Don't forum guys get a break?

I put this in my coupe not too long ago, and i can testify to the effectiveness. While driving around Sunday at about 85-90 degrees and sunny. When i opened the center console it was not even warm, whereas before the insulator,it would be hot as well as anything residing in there. Great product. Ken

I installed mine on Friday afternoon. After driving around on Saturday I checked my iPod to see how well the insulator was working and the temp was double digits lower. Usually it gets so hot that I can barely hold it, but now it's staying plenty cool enough.

I bought mine about a month ago and I've looked at it many times trying to figure out if it goes in or under the Console on my C5. Thank fellas for the heads up. It goes inside the console.

I just finished up a 1200 mile road trip and when I removed a small flashlight from the console it was hot enough to burn your hand. I just placed my order.
