Default Need Michelin Pilot Sport Plus A/S ZP impressions

I'll be buying a new set of tires for the Corvette and want to go with Michelin again. I currently have regular Pilot Sport A/S ZP's and like them fine, but they are in need of replacement. Any thoughts and impressions on the newer Pilot Sport Plus A/S ZP's would be greatly appreciated. BTW the dealer told me th Plus ZP's are warrantied for 30,000 miles and not 45,000 miles like the non-runflats. Does he know what he's talking about?
Thanks,
Ed

He is correct as far as I know. I just had four Pilot Sport plus A/S ZP delivered today and they will be installed tomorrow. I will let you know my impression after I have a chance to try them. I have 24,000 on my GY run flats and the rears are pretty shot, but the fronts would probably go another 5k miles. The trouble is the noise is unreal, driving me crazy. They were always too loud as far as I'm concerned but realize I will be comparing them to new tires. More to follow

I have run two sets of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP. The first was before the "Plus" model was offered and the second set is the Plus. I found these tires to be excellent all around performers. Worlds better than the OEM Goodyears. But I live in the PNW where the weather can change in an hour from sun to rain, to sleet, to ice so a quality AS tire was my main consideration. The Michelins have been quiet, well handling tires that last well on my 99 A4 Z51. My next set will also be these.................. unless I move to the SW.

put some on 4-5 weeks ago- car had Yoko RF on before (not my car when they were installed) Much improved in handling and ride but I also lowered the car and installed the Z06 shocks and Z51 sway bars. As for noise, not intrusive (and have a Corsa exhaust with headers so..........)
So far no complaints- will know more after a trip to VIR next week.

I replaced my worn PS A/S with new PS A/S 'Plus' tires and they are much quieter than the
previous version was.

If you were happy with the old version, you will be VERY happy with the plus.

Also, warranty won't work on a Vette. The warranty only covers cars with equal size
tires all the way around.

You should bring that to the sellers attention, he should already know that.

Love these tires. I only got 20K out of the rears and went ahead and replaced all 4 at same time rather than mess with it later. I enjoy it though so sometimes drive a little aggressive.

He did mention that the warranty was only 30K because the tires could not be rotated. I was just wondering. Thanks for the responses...I appreciate it.

I don't know about a new 'Plus' model, but I have the Pilot sports PS/2 ZP and they are I think the best money I ever spent on my 2003. I don't use it in Ice or snow, and the Michelin's state their not recommended for below 32 degrees due to the z rating/ high speed rating ? But they are a perfect tire for the C5. I believe I read that even the LS9 has Michelin's on it. Great tire. I feel stupid I bought three replacement GY run-flats.

Just put on a set of the Plus ZPs too soon to tell. Loved my PS2 ZPs, huge upgrade from the Goodyears as far as handling and noise

Had mine for nearly two years...they are very good tires. More quiet than the Kumhos (RF"s) that were on the car when I bought it. I'll put another set on when these are worn out.
