01 C5 Gets 26.7 mpg
My wife Dianna and myself went to San Antonio for our 34th anniversary this weekend. Approx 450 miles round trip. On the way down I averaged 24+ mpg. On the way back right when I was pulling off I-20 onto Cooper St our exit, 26.7 mpg started showing !! 01 silver C5

Congrats to you and your wife on your anniversary. And your mpg is about what I get in mine.

On my way back to Hendersonville from the Expo I averaged 66.2 mph and 33.2 mpg according to my cars trip computer. Checking mpg with a calculator is usually about 2 mpg less. These results were interstate driving only but was in the mountains. Hard to believe a car capable of ruining almost 180 mph could get that millage Who needs electric cars and if we had them where are all the dead batteries going to go.

It's well documented on this forum that C5's get great mileage out on the highway. Congrats on the anniversary.
