New MGW shifter install - Nice!
I just finished installing my new MGW shifter. Wow, what a difference! This thing is nice and crisp. The installation was much easier than I expected too. The install DVD that came with it was excellent and walked you through the entire process. I ended up going with the stock ****, but I may change it out at some point. For now, I'm happy with it. Here are some pics:

I installed mine last week but haven't had a chance to drive with it as I was also installing a Vararam and LG streets. I have everything in now just waiting for my TB to get back from Shaner.
I will say I also was impressed w/the Cd and workmanship. It's awesome. I'm really anxious to get it out on the road.

How is shifting from 4th to 5th? I bought a new MGW about 3 years ago and I didn't like how much lateral force it required to shift into 5th. I ended up selling it in favor of a C6 shifter.
The quality is great!

Been thinking about a shorter shifter myself..Just don't know which one would be best. I want it to be a smooth shift and not hard going into the gears. This one looks good, did you get it from a forum vendor? Who has the best deals on these type of shifters?
Thanks,
Russell

It doesn't have a noticeable difference in lateral force going into any gear. The slop when in neutral with the stock shifter is gone, so that will take some getting used to.

I bought mine directly from the MGW website. I don't know if there are better deals on MGWs out there, but I'm guessing that there are not. You may be able to find a used one.

See you installed the Dynamat under the console. Did you also use the piece that goes in the shifter tunnel? I installed both a few months ago an it makes a big difference in the elimination of heat in the console. I have enjoyed this shifter for the past several years. You will not be disappointed with it.

to the people saying it's too stiff just do the antivenom mod and use 1 copper washer and it will be perfect
