Default **Plasti Dipped my Coolant/Washer Tank Covers, WOW, Lots of Pics!!!***

Well after spending lots of money on winter mods, I picked up some used medium spiral grey reservoir covers for a good price. Rather then spending another $100 or more to have them painted black, I thought I would try the Plasti-Dip so many people talk about. Needless to say the results are GREAT! I had asked about Plasti Dip in the engine compartment a while back and a few members asked for feedback if I did it, so here you go. If it starts to peel or look like crap over the summer, I'll post up and let you guys know!

Here are before pics..........................

After pics....................................

Very nice, I like the flat black look.

Does that make it look more uniform than normal black spray paint?

I did notice that it covers very well and the color matches the stock plastic part almost perfect. I am happy as now it has a nice clean and smooth look and it cost me $6.

I would like to meet the guy who suggested and designed the stupid 1978 waffle look just so I could kick him in the Junk!

Does it only come in black? I'm looking for a flat white, something that uniforms very well.

That looks great. I'll be curious to see how it holds up to the heat over time.

Looks amazing! Ive always wished for something to clean up that area under the hood. Ive seen cf covers and such but nothing as nice as that! What are MSG covers? Is that a vendors company name? Excellent job

I have only seen black at Home Improvement stores, but if you go to their website, they offer many colors including clear!

Sorry about that, The guy I bought them from had them painted Medium Spiral Grey (MSG is a nickname) Instead of paying $100 or more to have them repainted, I thought spending $6 for this DIY was worth it. If it starts to look bad I'll just peel it off and then have them painted. Just trying the cheap way first!
