Default Would you trade up to a Tiger Shark kit?

What do you guys think would be a fair deal. Say I had a torch red C5 with a tiger shark front and rear kit on it, in perfect shape, perfect paint match and what not, and I wanted to trade someone for their stock torch red bumpers . Would I be able to get some cash on top for the trade?

No it would be even up. I'm always reminded on this forum how aftermarket mods lose all value once installed.

No seriously, I don't know what you would ask, other than somewhere between what a new set of OEM bumpers cost subtracted from your value of what you want for yours.

OK cool. I figured as much. I assume it shouldn't be too hard to find a person to trade, should the day come. Thanks

I have the tiger shark front and rear on my car. I wouldnt do it the bottom $$ diff is they pay for shipping and 500.00. If someone is looking for the MOD cost for both is over 1,k then all the cost of working and on both paint and work 1500.00. Robert

If it were me, I'd want some cash on top of the swap. But if it were me, I'd keep the TS front and rear fascias on the car unless you are planning to sell the car.

Even though I am not a fan of the Tiger Shark look, I would need to do a little research. First, what is the cost of a new OME front and rear bumper compared to the Tiger Shark? If you are taking in perfect shape stock for the same in the Tiger Shark then it really comes down to the difference in the cost of stock over Tiger Shark.

I don't like the TS kit. You'd have to pay me.

Damn, I have a torch red stock and want the Tiger Shark kit and at this point won't be available for a couple months. Still interested in making the swap to stock?

don't for get you have to mod the exhaust.or buy an corsa setup..and for someone with a red car...it would be a great deal with a little extra cash coming your way.

No big deal on the exhaust at all. $40.00 for cutting & welding piece on each side. Robert

true..but if you have a Z06 with Ti setup or like some will swap out the stock exhaust for the Ti..then it becomes a slight issue

Ok I am going to kick it around a bit. The TS kit really grew on me since I got the car. Tons of compliments on how its like no other vette they have seen. I may grow tired of it and message you to see what we can do.

And JDMVette, that dual tip exhaust mod looks awsome! I would totally do that if I didn't already have the Callaway "DD" kit.

I never warmed up to the rear of the kits... The fronts are awesome though.

Ive made my decision. I am willing to do a straight trade for z06 front and rear red bumpers locally. I am on Long Island NY. Would like both parties to meet with the cars before deciding to commit. Thanks. Will post detailed pics asap.

Great that you could find another owner locally.

Wish you were in California. Although I only want the rear.
