I am a big fan of the E-Force family of superchargers. I have witnessed spectacular results on LS2, LS3 and LS7 Corvettes. I love the completeness (is that a word?) of the kit. I love the obvious engineering and effort that has gone into this kit by Edelbrock. I further love the idea of a fully American built system. The OE grade connectors and the pre-bent, precut hoses make for an OE appearing installation.

But the best thing of all is the fact that it all fits under the stock hood. Having to change the hood is a deal breaker for many people - and the Lingenfelter version will still require an aftermarket hood.

One of the best systems available for the C5 remains the one from A&A Corvette. Admittedly it is not a Rootes type Eaton TVS system, and it is a centrifical - but it is every bit as reliable and makes even more power than the E-Force. Best of all - it all fits under the stock hood, is less expensive and is backed by the technology of over 1000 kits installed. It utilizes a quality Vortech blower and can be had in several trim (power) levels.

If I were to have a S/C installed on my C5 - this is the direction that I would go.

I hate having a huge cowl on the hood.

Its only 30hp more than my cam and bolt ons car. Yet it will cost an arm and a leg and will require a cowl hood to fit.

Show me some dynos with supporting mods and it putting out GOOD numbers without exceeding its effeciency range(becoming a heat pump).

A&A or ECS....otherwise, you're wasting cash.

Those numbers from the edelbrock kit aren't impressive at all......just saying

I wish they would have gotten the numbers from an LS6. Seems they're getting a little over 50% out of it, though.

Thats what makes me a skeptic. They've shown it can flow enough air for 450hp....thats not impressive.

Show me it can do 650+ without a tiny slipping pully. And do so without going way off its effeciency range and making a bunch of hot air. Then its worth a look. There are already positive displacement options on the market if you want sub 600 HP.
