Default Black magic tire wet and plasti-dip is a no no!!

Sprayed some black magic tire wet on my tires today and some overspray got onto my plasti dipped wheels. Needless to say, don't ever do that! It took the plasti dip right off! It's weird because I can use a harsh cleaner on my tires and it not affect the plasti-dip, but yet use some silicon and it bubbles right off. Now I got to redo two wheels! Glad I saw it before I did the other two.

Don't use interior "protectant" products either. Replacing my center console radio bezel thanks to them.

Say no to petroleum based cleaning products.

I got some Stoner's Bug and Tar Remover on my lower rear fascia yesterday and it ate away the PD. It's ok as I was going to remove it in a couple of weeks after my next track day anyway.

Well, now those wondering how they're going to get it off when they're done with it know how to easily get it off.

Yep, that and a pressure washer if you want to do it quickly.

Well, I have used the black magic tire shine foam in the can and I didn't notice anything. I just so happened to buy the liquid as that is what I usually use, but it bubbled it right up where the liquid landed on the painted rim.

I just started using the Black Magic Tire Wet, and used it in place of the Meguiar's purple gel stuff that I've been using for years. It provides the same results, but with none of the mess and in less than half the time.

Of course I don't have any PD on my car so I don't have to worry about parts of the car melting off like an old lady's makeup in summer.
