If you have to put on your front plate.... do what I did below.
I got a clear front plate cover, and painted the inside to match the paint.

I cleaned the top today.
Didn't realize how dirty it was until I cleaned it.
Used simple green, and rinsed real good.

If the Simple Green got on the paint it stripped all the wax/polish off too.

I had some grease up the side of my car once from road tar or something. Nothing would take it off. It just "smeared" when wiped with water. I put a dab of Simple green on the tip of a mocro fiber towel. It took the grease off easily. Rubbing my finger where the grease was I could tell it stripped all the polish off too . The areas where I wiped was no longer smooth. I had to re-polish the entire side of the car.

Just a heads up.

That was a concern, which is why I spent a lot of time rinsing the top and the body.
Once everything was dry, I went over the body with my detail spray.
No wax was removed by the simple green.

Done with the above!! When the seat was out, noticed the flange was busted on the seat track. Ordered a seat repair kit. Time to fix the seat!
