Here are the details for doing the modifications to the C6Z06 rear splash guards thanks to Dee Gee:

First one was the hardest because your not sure exactly how much material to remove and you don't want to remove too much.
Second (other side) was a lot faster.

I can attest to this!!!!!
First side a whopping 2hrs, second side 45min to an hour. If your wondering why it takes so long is because you don't want to make any mistakes so you shave off a little at a time, test fit, shave again, test, shave, test, shave, test, ETC....

Painted splash guards !
I bought all four corners from Apsis. These aren't cheap but I am really surprised at how tough they are once you have them painted and mounted. They come with two strips of double-face tape, but I added some more automotive grade tape. they are damn tight and now feel like that are part of the body.
Once mounted I bought a can of 3M rocker panel spray protection and it makes the wheel side of the molding much less able to be chipped from stones or other road debris. Very happy with the outcome !
