Default Wheel Cap size

Anyone had issues with new wheel caps fitting OEM wheels even if the new wheel caps say "Fit OEM Wheels"? I noticed that some wheel caps are a different depth.

Seems like it is harder and harder to find consistency in replacement parts these days.

I wondered. I ordered some new wheel caps and noticed that as I researched "OEM" caps, it appeared the dimensions varied a bit, especially depth. This could be an issue. If too short the clips won't reach the hub. If too long, they'll rattle. So I've got to be careful taking the old ones off in case there is a fitment problem.
