I live in a state where you can't get license plates or a driver's license without proof of insurance!! I have absolutely no sympathy for uninsured drivers!!!!! If you can't afford it, that's what public transportation is for!!!!!

Bottom line!!!! Get in an accident without coverage......shot on site, problem solved!!!!! No longer a threat to other innocent individuals on our public thoroughfares!!!!

What really gets me is when these people kill or cause severe traumatic injuries to others of which the effects can be life-long, and think that just because they couldn't afford insurance, that absolves them of any responsibility!!!!!!! I'm poor, feel sorry for me!!!!!!

Well, I'm poor too and have been all of my life!!! The only reason I have a 'Vette is that I have aligned my priorities to account for the things I feel are important in my life and one of those things is my car!! My bed has been my couch for a couple of years now after an altercation with a storage facility after making a major move to accept a new job. I make major concessions on other things which I don't feel are as essential to my existence, but I would never put anyone else's safety at risk with my decisions!!!!!!!

Give 'em a blindfold, and cure the problem!!!!!!! Buy insurance if you are going to drive, or suffer the consequences, period!!!!!!

DSTURBD

Edit: Sorry if I come off sounding a little hard-core, but Colorado has suffered a number of seriously horrific and fatal hit-and-runs this last year or so, by people who have somehow managed to get around the required insurance statute!!!!! Not that it would bring any of these people back, but maybe the perpetrators might have been less likely to have been on the road. I know....wishful thinking!!!!!!!!

And this is all far insignificant when compared to the theater shooting!!!!!!!!! But....people are dying and some can be prevented!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the shop did a great job. Best of luck making that uninsured driver pay.

Glad it looks good again.

Good luck getting them to pay. In Arizona a few years ago an uninsured hit my '96 Impala SS. My insurance went after them, but never was able to recover money from them and so I never got my deductible back. I wish there was some stronger method to keep the uninsured off the road and to hold them accountable for what they do.

Recenlty someone hit my wife's Lexus and left. My insurance company USAA used the unisured motorist fee (South Carolina) and only charged $200 deductible instead of the $500 since I sent them a Police report which I simply filled out at the Police office. An advantage of having a great insurance company. BTW, the cost was $1200 to fix but only cost me $200.

Glad all worked out OK. Here in NC you have to to have proof of ins to get license, but that doesn't apply to the liquor bikes. One hit my sons car while he was stopped at red light. Guy probably would have ran if it hadn't busted up his girlfriends knee. No ins, no money, no problems for him. Fortunately uninsured covers it. Can't believe they endanger our lives drinking and driving and then they get to annoy us even more when they lose their license. My rant for today.
