L5 splash guards
Just installed these today. I was rather impressed by how well they fit. I think they look great and considering it is always raining in FL, I have already noticed a reduction in road crap thrown on the paint.

I'm really tempted to do something like that too. Where did you order them from? Are they rear only? Any drilling required, or do they use existing screws?
Looks good, especially on the black car!

drilling is not required. They have a real nice sticky double sided tape on the back. They also have 2 bolt holes each with screws that will require pilot holes if you choose to use them. I went ahead and bolted them in place just to be on the safe side. I bought them off of a vendor here. lewis5motorsports

Splash guards !
I went with a full set from Apsis, Pricey, but they really do a great job and once installed, look like they came from the Factory with them.

I looked at the Apsis ones and for a car that isnt driven that often or not driven in the rain they would probably work ok but today I drove home in the FL rainstorm and the plastic on the "catching side" is already getting a little scratched. I couldn't imagine what paint would look like after a drive over road gravel.

Melting Slicks
I just received a set of L5 splash guards today, I'm having them painted the body color on both sides. I'm thinking of mounting them with poly rivets in stead of screws.

you definitely want to get that spray then. After one drive without it mine had rock dings. Of course that also meant that the guards caught the rocks that would have otherwise hit my paint.

So when you get them they are black fiberglass? Couldn't they just be left in the finish them come in or is it best to have them painted to match the car or just cleared? My Z is silver and I thought they would look ok if just left black?
