I had been looking for a while and one day out of the blue (pun intended) I received a message from Brandon that he was selling his Z06. See this thread:
04 Z06
We went to see it one week and this weekend went to pick it up.
Drove it the 160 or so miles home and enjoyed the entire trip. Even the stupid drivers were no problem....heh heh....
So here is the big payoff and key exchange, Brandon on the left, me on the right.
He was kind enough to change the oil and the air filter for me, so I would have a carefree ride home.
The only bad thing is that I got home and had to as fast as I could because of Isaac, which is currently trying to drown us.
This car will now be shown off daily on I-95 in Broward County. Well, nearly every day, some days I have to drive my work van home.

Congrats Bruce. Welcome to the forum and to C5 ownership. The car looks like a real beauty.

Thanks. It isn't perfect, but it is not nearly as bad as the listing photos made it appear. The main thing is that it only had about 4800 miles on it. I'll put about 10k on per year.

There is one I was going to also look at in a town between Daytona and St. Augustine. Was listed on Cragslist. Only had 11k miles on it, but he guy was called out of town on business. So it is probably still available.

Yep. As soon as I get the registration taken care of! In the not too distant future I'll be taking an extended trip to my brother-in-laws in Kissimmee to get and install an extra x-pipe he has. He drives a 1999 c5.
