Default Hello From (near) Portland Oregon

I live in Oregon City, Oregon, about half an hour away from Portland. (Depending on traffic.) I see a lot of C5s around, and I wonder how many are visiting this site and or, other forums. I'm looking for a good group for car shows and events.

It's late in the season, and I know I missed some good ones. But I'd like to get involved and get ready for next summer. Besides, here in Oregon, the winter months is when you get all your mods done!

Side note. I didn't even realize this until after I bought a Corvette. I ride motorcycles, a Ducati Hypermotard 1100s and an 848 Evo. Bikes have their wave. I didn't know Corvette owners had a wave. Every single Corvette driver has waved at me. Love that! Reminds me of the tight knit biker groups.

Cheers from Oregon.

Go to the Pacific Northwest forum on this site. There is an active group of Corvette owners in Portland and right across the river in Vancouver is Tom Wong, the local Corvette guru and master tuner and the person who can give your car awesome power. I wish he was closer to me.

That would be a good place to start to meet others in your area. And welcome to the forum.

Your regional forum would be the place to find out what's going on.

Welcome Cadmando!!

I'm in Beaverton and joined here shortly after purchasing my '02 Coupe in 2007. I also joined Rose City Corvette Club and was more active at first but have to admit I haven't been very involved due to work, playing music, family or whatever. They have good functions and have been through some changes. They seem a little more cohesive lately.

But the best cruises I've been on were organized right here in the Pac Nw section. Willamette Valley Club in Salem is pretty active too.

Anyone can organize a cruise on here. I will one of these days but sometimes it's as simple as "hey, I'm going to Wherever, Oregon this weekend, anybody wanna come along?"

But this forum, with people from all over the world, is the BEST. You can stray into some "dangerous" areas but the general, tech, and regional forums are extremely useful and fun.

Welcome.....and remember to wave!!
