Default Bad city MPG?

What MPG should a stock C5 A4 get in the city? Seems like everytime I get in my car to drive even for a short distance the needle goes down a lot. The dash says I'm averaging 13.6 MPG. I know I didn't buy the Vette for fuel economy and I know it's gonna eat up gas, but is 13.6 normal with nomal driving? Also my A4 has the performance gearingfront the factory(3.15s)

I've been getting 18 - 20 depending on how spirited I feel.

I get anywhere from 16-20 in town - really just depends on how often I have to stop for traffic and how many hills I have to go up (this area has a lot of hills).

I average 19 mpg on my H/C/I car. This includes highway, city, and stop/go driving.

The big issue is the type of gas and what station you are getting it from. Here by me, I only use Shell or Mobil. Any other gas station my mileage goes to hell.

Filled up with 91 octane Shell. I bought a bottle of techron fuel system cleaner. I'm waiting for the take to be low before I put it in like the instructions say. Hopefully it will help me out a bit lol

Around town I get about 17-20MPG, but I have a 6-speed.

Do plugs and wires if you haven't already. I only had 50K miles on my car, but when I checked the plug wires, they were so brittle they actually came right off the boot! Doing the tune up on my car made a word of difference in economy, power and smoothness. I must have had a miss.

Finished my tank of gas today and my avg was 15.4. I dropped some of the chevron cleaner in it as I filled up.
Also does the fuel caps constantly loosely spin on C5s? The cap would not seal after trying to put it back on. After 5 minutes of messing with it it finally stayed on but seems real loose and keeps spinning.

Just over 20mpg around town (3.15 axle) 28mpg on the freeway at 75mph.

No problems with a spinning gas cap.

I'm averaging about 14 in the city with my m6. Of course there is a pretty good amount of traffic here in east Orlando.
On the flip side... I'm averaging 29-30 on the highway!
