Default Locating glove box latch/handle

Where is the best place to get a glove box latch/handle piece. I don't need one that comes with the lock. Just the housing (Oak color).

So far I have only found it at corvetteparts.com for $67.95 (not including shipping). Seems steep... Any cheaper place? Cant find anything on flea-bay either... and Ecklers only sells the C6 style.

There is a complete Oak glove box that just listed on eBay. Hate to buy the whole unit for just the latch/handle piece.

eBay Item number: 160897027091

I agree with trying Marc@VetteNuts - you never know just what he might have available.

I think that the oak color is the problem. I know of two Corvette owners, a friend and myself with CTS's (same latch) have all had the same problem with the oak color. I had my latch done at the dealer and it was not covered under the warranty. It was about the same price you quoted installed at the dealer.

I just put the order in at Davie's Corvette parts (same as corvetteparts.com I guess) so that it gets on the way right away this week. Almost 80 bucks shipped. Curse this piece of plastic ****.
