Fun article. A good short history of the car.

Interesting GM dropped the US Flag because of a law that said it could not be used in advertising. Anyone tell Budweiser, Obama, Coke, or the countless shirts, hankies, head scarfs, lawn chairs, etc., etc. that are "designed" around the honored symbol of our country?
