C5 - Z06 wheels vs Z06 (10.5x18) polished wheels
I have a 4 wheel set of 10.5 x 18 OEM Polished aluminum Z06 wheels mounted on 275x40 and 275x45x18's, I also have 2 - 265x35x18 and 2 - 295x35x18 bf-goodrich gforce (gdw) that I could put on these 18's, my questions is, which wheel / tire combo would look good, and which one would handle better.
I also have a complete set of 9.5x17 and 10.5x18 Z06 OEM wheels, but I'd have to buy 2 new tires since I don't have the 17" rubber...
I am not one of those that can visualize the setup... Have to see it... Any suggestions? I am seriously considering selling the 4-10.5 x 18 Polished aluminum w/the 275x18 tires set up also... Please help...... Harry

Your stability/traction control may, or may not be happy with a square set up (same size wheels/tires front & back). It seems that some model years are more sensitive to this than others. This is, obviously, irrelevant on the track but could be an issue on the street. With the OEM tire sizes, you'll notice that the overall diameter of the rear tires are approximately 0.5" taller than the front tires. Changing this ratio may cause problems.
There is variation from manufacturer to manufacturer, but anything over about a 285-295 in the front will probably rub at maximum lock, with suspension deflection ... at least for a while.
You will want to check the diameters of your various tires and test fit them, before making any decisions.
If looks are more important, then that is completely subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
