Default aftermarket seat rails... how to cover up mounting bracket mount area?

im going to be installing fx1 seats on corbeau brackets...i noticed that the oem seat brackets have plastic covers over them and the bolts to cover that area.. when aftermarket seat brackets are installed it leaves a uncarpeted patch that doesnt look too clean.. are people just modifying these oem pieces to fit?

I used the OEM covers, but I made my own brackets. Not sure about the corbeau ones. The brackets I made were just a hair wider than the stock ones, so I just drilled a hole in the front of them and put the cover where it would go, putting the stock push lock thing into the hole to hold the OEM covers in place. Hope that makes sense.

Check this out...

Walmart does not sell it anymore, but try searching for "Remington Industries Carpet Replacement, Black"

Cut the existing plastic OEM covers on a table saw to fit and use silicone to fasten. Worked great for me.

I'm having the same issue right now when I installed my Recaros. I will most likely modify the stock cover. I did lift the carpet and paint the exposed areas I'm the mean time flat black so they would not be too noticeable

I just cut a small piece of thin black carpet I had used to cover a board that covers my amps. I tucked it under the carpet and covered the mounting bolts. You'd never notice it unless it was pointed out.

I did a piece of carpet like everyone else but the legs of the seat brackets are still unnattractive so Ill try to get the stock covers to glue on thanks for the suggestion.
