Default West Coast Corvette Sequential Tail light harness - problem

My girlfriend bought me the Sequetial tail light harness for my birthday from West Coast Corvette. She bought it in October. I didn't get a chance to install until mid December. After being in the car for less than a month the one side no longer flashes properly.

I called WCC and they told me that the part only has a 30 day warranty, so basicly the warranty was up before the part was even installed. I personally think this is pretty rediculous. $100 part breaks in less than a month and they tell me they can't do anything about it.

Anyway, anyone else have this problem, or can any of the electronics / HALO guys repair these?

Way it used to be was one company produced them with a lifetime warranty. Worth checking into

They already told me they won't replace it, so I guess I'm just out $100. Never use WCC again...

Give Radioflyer a PM, he might know a "work around" or a way to fix your problem. He's pretty knowlegable on lighting. He's also incorporated the sequential signals into his rear lenses. Just a thought.

good suggestion. he really does some amazing things with lighting, etc. he would be the one to bounce the problem off of. george has always been most helpful.

I stopped using wcc a few years back. There are many other part suppliers who have much better services .

This is real bad publicity for WCC.

It may have been cheaper (and wiser) for them to help Drumbum out.

My opinion is that vendors need to go the extra mile, particularly in a Christmas gift situation. WCC off my list until, or if, I hear a reasonable explanation and customer friendly resolution of the situation.

We have a super tire dealer here in Charleston who remounted two tires for me on my Vette and rebalanced all four at no charge. That cost them a fair amount of labor, but they have people waiting in line everyday and thrive on word of mouth. GERALD'S TIREs

Was thinking this might be my best bet. I think he did my Halo mod and repaired a problem with one of the lights at the same time.

Well I just got a phone call out of the blue this morning from WCC. She told me that now the manufacturer of the part says they will warranty the part for a year. She originally told me that they would only warranty it for 30 days. I have to call, and go through the company that made the part so not completely resolved, however it appears that WCC has put some time into this complaint and have done their part to try and resolve the issue. Not sure if it was a result of this thread, but I'm satisfied with what they've done so far.

I've spent quite a bit of money at WCC over the years and have never had a problem with any of their products or customer service.

the thread may have gotten to them. No matter what prompted WCC as long as they are going to make it right. As a wise judge once told me,"every dog is entitled to one bite." WCC has had theirs.

Had problems with WCC also. Defective (poor quality) products, would not warranty or even help out with replacement at a discount. Told me they had problems with that supplier and changed to a different one, so they knew there was a problem. Never purchased from them again.

That's what I was saying. There was only one manufacturer but dozens of resellers. Mine came with a lifetime warranty. WCC blew you off with a 30 warranty but the part has a lifetime warranty. Shame on them for not knowing or being unwilling to help you. To me that speaks volumes about what they think of customers. At least they appear to be shamed into doing the right thing.

If the problem is with the LED tail light itself, I would be happy to have a look. Perhaps if you can take a video of what's going on I might be able to diagnose your problem that way.

It was the sequential flasher. Swapped sides and other side did same thing. Took them out and lights work fine.

Thanks though
