With the all time running LED strip being the best part, for a reasonable price, now that would

it would look good as long as they could make the light housing flow with the lines of the C5.

A seriously doubt that vendors are going to spend the R&D to develop a C7-like light housing for the C5. I don't think the market is large enough. You may be able to retro-fit a current fixed headlight design with the C7 technology if you're really into that type of thing.
To me, putting non pop-up lights on a C5 is like putting pop-up lights on the C7. I respect the pop up design as the C5 will probably be the last generation Corvette to have them! Plus, nothing looks more stealth than no exposed lights. A look that black C5s pull off exceptionally well.

I love my pop ups as well. When they pop up my view from the inside is improved, IMHO it takes on a more aggressive look. As far as wanting the latest greatest flamethrowers, the factory setup is fine. I've saved hundreds of dollars by not jumping on the latest and greatest improvement over factory. I'd rather spend it where it counts.
