Just got SCAMMED on Amazon !
Well I guess it finally came around to being my turn.
I purchased 6 Wix filters for the Vette, well what I thought were Wix filters. Turns out they advertise Wix filters, even provide you a picture showing you said filter. I placed my order for 6 of them and what do I get delivered a week later.... 6 oil filters made in Mexico, painted white and labeled 618-51042 Auto Extra !! Who the heck is Auto Extra !?!?!?!
I will be dropping off the box at the UPS Store for return and getting a refund from Amazon.
All I can say is, careful what you buy on that site !

Thanks for the heads up. 
If everyone knew how to do business correctly there wouldn't be F ups like that. At least you are getting a refund in the end but sucks you wasted your time.

wow. That sux. Never hit an issue with Amazon. <knock on wood> Make sure you report things to Amazon. But at least as Maxx Z06 said, you'll get reimbursed. Still sux though

I need to find the contact info for them on the site to let them know that the iyem listed is not a WIX brand filter.

Sorry to hear of your problem.
I've always had good luck with Amazon, and the one and only problem I did have with one of their suppliers was handled effectively and quickly.

Glad you're getting your money back, but no one likes to have their time wasted by having to return a product that wasn't what was ordered. Hopefully Amazon will take some action and correct the listing.

Just so you know, or for future reference, the NAPA Gold 1042 is the exact same filter made for them by WIX.

At least it was on AMAZON and they will stand by it!
That's why many times I buy what AMAZON has in their warehouse instead of from the other sellers!

Amazon is always really good about making sure you get the right product, and refunding you if you don't.
Still sucks, can't trust anyone these days.
Like what was said earlier, you're always better off buying products on Amazon that are actually stocked by amazon, and not a 3rd party seller.

What's the link to the "wrong" part? I want to go to that page and check it out and then bitch about it being misleading. That kind of thing irritates me.
