AMAZING DEAL on CCW 505a. Too good to be true???
So i came upon an ad on a local parts page for what looks to be like a set of CCW 505a with some fixable curb rash for $700. These look legit, right? I have a weird feeling this guy doesnt know what kind of wheels these are (selling on an import car forum) and how expensive they are. Are there fake 505a's out there? The guy advertised them as having 5X120 lug pattern and 305/30/19 tires on all four, which makes me think that they are all 19X11 when ideally i would want 19X10 on the front and 19X11 for the rear but ill just have to wait and see. I already have a bad feeling seeing that the lip on the other set to the right doesnt seem too different from the main rims pictured.
Is there a simple solution to being able to determine if they are the proper offset for my C5Z when i go see them in person? Will the offset need to be different from stock because of the increase in the width of the rims over stock? I'm thinking my best bet would be to just test fit them on the car to determine whether they stick out too much or not. I really hope this turns out good, cause i've been on the hunt for some new wheels, and to come across this deal seems to good to be true.
edit: found a little more info "305/30/19 with a 5" lip in the rear 275/30/19 with 2.5" lip in the front". CCW doesn't make this wheel in a 5inch lip, it's a 3inch lip, and the tire sizes sound like what every one with a c5 with 19s runs, so it looks more and more like i might've found a new setup. hopefully i hear back from him tomorrow and can check them out in person!

I don't think there are any "fake" 505a's that exist, and trust me, I've looked. There are some cast wheels that look similar to the SP500s, but not the 505a's.
I think the guy doesn't realize how expensive the wheels are. Maybe he went to their website and thought that they cost $800 for a set instead of per wheel
I wonder what car they came off of. I'm not aware of any import car that uses 5X120 and can fit a staggered set-up with 11" rims in the back.

If they all have a 3" lip then they may all be 19x11.
My SP500's (19x10, 19x11) have a 2" front lip and a 3" rear lip.
The 305/30/19 on front and rear WOULD be an issue on a C5 Corvette. Active handling and traction control issues. Sizing for these should be 275/30/19, and 305/30/19.
Looks like a good deal if you can verify the sizes are correct for your car.

If they will work on your car, that is one heck of a deal. Good luck - hope it works out for you.

If the rear are 305's with a 5" lip I would think they are not the proper offset. An offset calculator such as http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp can help compare.

GREAT NEWS!!!! Just picked them up. 19X10 fronts, 19X11 rears. Front tires (275/30 Pirelli P Zero Rosso) need replacing due to bad camber wear. Rear tires ( 305/30 same tire) have about half tread life left, so i should be able to get through the spring with the rears! Front wheels will need slight refinishing due to some minor curb rash, rears are near perfect. Blank center caps. All for $700. I'll post some more pics after the clean up.

Great score!!! Love to hear it - congrats!! If only all of us could be so lucky as to make a core like that. Just proves that deals do exist out there.
