Default I LOVE my new Michelins...

After 38k on the original Eagles (yeah, they were slicks...) I decided to try these Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....+A%2FS+Plus+ZP

Man I love these tires. With the Eagles (granted they had 15k on them when I bought the car) it would "track" every groove in the pavement and I would have to keep correcting to keep the car going straight down the freeway. With these Michelins it's like a different car. Tracks straight but still seems to be every bit as responsive as the Eagles were. My deciding factor in buying these were I saved a grand total of about $150 over new Eagles (still cost $1320 installed at Sam's). They are run-flat's which was important to me as I don't want to be stuck along the highway with a flat.

If any of you are thinking of some new treads, I highly recommend them.

(P.S. I SMOKED those Eagles before turning them in - youtube to follow)

Michelin makes some very good tires. The ZPs are a good replacement for the OEM Goodyears.

You will also find that the Michelins are quieter and the wet traction is excellent. Yes, I drive my Corvette in the rain............

I replaced the original tires with the Michelins. Much quieter and better traction.

My '04 came with these tires. They are much quieter than the Goodyears on my C4. The previous owner was not afraid to spend money for top-quality tires and they still have 50% tread life.

I drive mine in the rain too. It won't melt.

Ditto on the Michelin Pilot Super Sports!

I replaced my Pirelli PZeros with the Michelins and no comparison.

With the Pirelli's I had traction issues when shifting at 3500 RPMs. Would spin, but not with the Michelins.

Lot quieter ride and much better handling.

I put the non-runflat version of these Michelins on my car at 22,000 miles. I now have 62,000 on the car. The rear tires are almost ready for replacement (center bars wore prematurely and I was very careful with the pressures) but the fronts will probably go at least another 10,000 miles.
They are great tires. At 40,000 miles they are almost as quiet as they were when new.

OK, here's the video of me burning those eagles up. There was cord showing and one piece of cord 3 feet long whipping the bottom of the car afterward that I had to cut off with a pocket knife.
